Where should I stay?

The location of the wedding is here — in a place called Chanakyapuri. The other events will be no more than a 10-20 minute drive away. You can get around really easily with Uber cars or TukTuks.

High-end hotels

In our view, the nicest place to stay is The Imperial, if you’re looking for a special experience.

Other great options include The Leela Palace and The Lodhi.

The Taj Mahal (not the Taj Palace) and Shangri Las Eros are great too, slightly further away.

Mid-range hotels

On the higher end of mid-range are The Claridges and Ambassador New Delhi IHCL Selections, both great options.

A more affordable spot is Lutyens Bungalow (it’s cute and small so get in quick). Booking directly through the website should work.

Bloom Boutique in Connaught Place and Bloomrooms@Janpath are a little further away but will both do the job.

Alternative options

There are a handful of AirBnBs and small hotels on Booking.com in the area — search “Jor Bagh”, “Khan Market” or “Malcha Marg” as the location.

If you are considering booking one, check with us first about the location.

Some comments

We’ve recommended these places because they’re in good locations. Traffic can be bad, and Google Maps can be deceiving. These places are all much closer than the other hotels you might find, even if Google Maps says otherwise.

Avoid The Ashok and Samrat hotels.

Please note: If none of these options fall within your price range, let us know and we should be able to find an alternative.
