How do I get to Delhi?

Coming from Australia

The flights right now look super affordable, and there are a few different options we recommend.

If you’re coming from Melbourne, we recommend the direct Qantas flight on Thursday 12 March at 9:20am, arriving into Delhi at 4:50pm. If you’re coming earlier, the same flight is available every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. If you’re coming from Sydney or Canberra, you’ll need to go to Melbourne first for a direct Qantas flight.

If those days don’t work, you can’t go wrong with the direct Air India route, which operates daily from Melbourne and Sydney. It’s a perfectly fine flying experience, but the planes are a little on the old side and the screens probably won’t work.

If you’ve got more flexibility or want to stay somewhere on the way, we highly recommend the one-stop options with Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways or Malaysia Airlines.

Coming from elsewhere

If you’re coming from London or Copenhagen, Tel Aviv or Beirut, Dhaka or Amman, there are loads of quick and affordable options — Skyscanner is your friend here.

If you can’t find a direct flight, it’s better to stop on the way to India rather than transiting domestically in India.
